With this project, we want to educate pupils from 7 until 11 years old to a “healthy” and profitable use of new touch devices, entered in the daily lives of our children to be used not only for recreational activity.
Goal is to create a platform in a protected area where to experience a new and more “curious” way to school: fast place to exchange experiences and possible developments; virtual meeting place, which facilitates collaborative learning among children.

The project is to use for teaching the class, the tablet: device provided for each pupil. Children, in addition to exercising their skills in mother language, Mathematics, Geography, History, Religion, English, etc. experience a different learning modes, interactive, individualized and social.
These learning will lead to a learning platform shared on cluod, run by teachers and restricted to authorized users (teachers and pupils)
The teachers will have the continuous monitoring of the activities of each student and will be able to intervene directly and to personalize the educational intervention.
This operational was is certainly a valid individual exercise.
The use of tablets in the classroom also offers the pupil the opportunity to interact with peers to discuss strategies to address and solve the proposed questions. That way new modes of sharing, cooperation and continuous exchange, processes of “cooperative learning” and “peer mentoring” are activated. In the school, in fact, the technology is used almost exclusively as a support group activities.
The platform aims to be the preferred instrument for a constructivist teaching and therefore you want to:
- To promote, firstly, the correct use of digital devices in order to prevent inappropriate use and, therefore, dangerous abuses;
- stimulate writing in a creative and collaborative;
- communicate homework, distribute handouts;
- multiply the possibilities for access to materials of particular importance, through special links;
- activate new channels of communication between students and teachers beyond the normal lesson timings;
- enhance the interaction of the class through comments online;
build a community of learning and research;
- involve parents in their children’s activities.
The new platform
Once students have been educated to the general use of touch technologies, thanks to the technical supervisor, the goal we want to achieve is to create a flexible tool (a touch software) that can be used with any method of education.
Each educational activity can be divided into the main phases: education, training, evaluation.
Bearing in mind the three stages of the lesson: education, training and verification.
We want to create a control platform (dashboard) where the teacher prepares the lesson, each pupil then, will have the lesson (education) on the tablet, teacher will teach the lesson (training) and the the pupil can fulfill hiss verification on the tablet also. The system analyzes the work in real time allowing teacher to evaluate and analyze the progress of the class (or individual student) even during or after lesson.
A technological tool to assist the teacher, in all steps, for a didactic faster, deeper and individualized; we will try to keep alive the attention with the playful aspect of the approach is for the purpose of making any educational intervention-educational fun and especially inspiring.
The teacher, through his personal dashboard, choose and plan lessons.
Lessons selected will appear on the tablet and the pupils will begin the work that you can articulate both as an individual activity, both group and so shared on schedule by the teacher.
The teacher can make a normal lecture, with or without LIM, following the traditional methods. If you have a LIM, you can use the lessons of tablet provided by the platform to explain new topics, to start new classes in a shared or to give additional instructions if necessary.
In order to apply, practice and develop the knowledge of the children do exercises on the tablet.
The exercises are grouped by class and / or for teaching objectives, each lesson is therefore composed of exercises in battery that, normally, for a pupil require 20-30 minutes.
During the course of each year the student knows in real time the result and the correct or incorrect as it is, this immediate feedback allows a faster learning due precisely to the “immediacy” of the response verification.
Teachers generally ask the guys to play the same lesson but can also decide (easily, again via the dashboard) to carry lessons easier, more difficult or different for different groups of pupils.
It ‘also possible to individualize the lesson individually and automatically: the platform can choose the most suitable exercises at the level of each student by topic or to suit your learning needs.
Individual coaching or instruction in groups
Through the Dashboard, the teacher can see in real time the progress of the class and of each individual pupil. When a student is in trouble, the platform highlights it immediately, allowing the teacher to decide whether to provide immediate help or let the person finish the lesson before providing any explanations. If the entire class is in difficulties with one or more years, the teacher can stop the lesson and provide education front immediately and then again to resume right where you left it.
After the lesson, the teacher does not have to correct books or workbooks, all results (except those related to questions with answers textual or multiple) have already been corrected and registered by the platform, and of course, also prepared with statistics daily, weekly and monthly.
The teacher can analyze what has been done at any time of the lesson for each individual, analyze the result compared to the general level of the class.
Of course you can also view the progress over time for each student for each particular objective of teaching and all this makes it easier to prepare the following lessons or develop learning plans for the class and students, as well as express ratings / votes.
After the session, the teacher can assess the whole class by summarizing what was just learned and introducing what will be done later, establishing a line of continuity with the children.
